Job Title Accountant/Examiner 2 (26000483) Organization Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) Schedule Full‑time. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. Union OCSEA Position Overview As an Accountant/Examiner 2 you will process and review billings, authorizations, and payments to ensure accurate financial management and compliance with applicable laws. Working under general supervision, you will collaborate with Vocational Rehabilitation and Independent Living staff, generate reports, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain precise records. Responsibilities Process and modify authorizations, verifying service codes and vendor information. Resolve billing issues or discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders. Generate reports and monitor outstanding billings. Maintain accurate records and audit trails. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify improvement opportunities. Qualifications Minimum qualifications must be met: 24 months experience in a role involving review and processing of claims, collections, billings, or payments, or review of documents for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. or 16 semester / 24 quarter hours in accounting plus 12 months experience in accounting or equivalent fiscal/financial activity. or 12 months experience as Accountant/Examiner 1 with state government experience. or equivalent education and experience as per Minimum Class Qualifications. Pay and Benefits Hourly rate starting at $23.65. Wage increases occur after 6 months of employment and annually thereafter, with cost‑of‑living adjustments. Medical coverage.
