Associate Adjuster Auto Hybrid - Worcester, MA - Howell, MI - Syracuse, NY - Itasca, IL – Richmond, VA  

In partnership with our Insurance client we are actively hiring Associate Adjusters to join their Level One Auto claims team starting on a temp-hire basis. As an Associate Adjuster , you will play a vital role in company’s success by providing a critical service to the business and its customers. As a member of the Claims team, you will work in a dynamic and fast paced environment to help our customers after an unexpected event.  In your role, you will investigate, evaluate, and help settle our customers’ claims.  You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding goals and metrics that drive the success of the claims organization.

  Pay Rate: Starting at $24.00/hour; conversion salary of $50,000.         

Flexible Schedule: Typically, 2–3 days in office and 2–3 days remote; 7.75 hours/day (38.75 hours/week) Monday-Friday; training schedule is 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Following the training period, the shift will be either 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. May be required to work in office during initial training period

Responsibilities:  

●        You are responsible for performing claim processing and payment functions on non-complex claims for personal auto policies in multiple states. Responsible for reviewing electronic claim files for completeness and following procedures for gathering missing information.

●        Within specific guidelines, you are responsible for outbound calls with a level of satisfaction that meets or exceeds the customers' expectations. This is accomplished by responding in a polite, professional and empathetic manner, matching their needs with client services.          

●        Develops recognition of coverages, claim processing requirements, and related data processing systems. Claims handled by this individual would not involve determining liability, questionable damages, investigation, personal injury or coverage issues.    

●        Utilizing established guidelines to obtain appraisals and other needed information from insured, advises insured as to proper course of action. Records additional information/data into the company’s network updating the electronic claim file.   

●        Applies basic communication skills to interpret caller’s inquiries and offers options. Sets up predetermined reserves which includes managing outbound calls to insured to confirm next steps. Collects and files bills/documentation and sends outbound correspondence as needed.        

●        Manages appraisal, rental, and vendor processes. Confirms claim resolution and amount of payment.     

●        Ability to handle Claims Service Rep. activities as needed including handling calls from phone queue to provide claim assistance and identify complex claims that need to be reassigned.    

Skills and Experience:

●        Associated degree or working towards your associate degree is strongly preferred   

●        Typically, 1 -3 years of experience in the service, financial or hospitality industry preferred   ●                 Self-starter   

●        Has an energetic, positive and professional attitude

●        Proficiency in using and toggling between multiple computer applications, dual screens, and MS Office products (Word/Excel); Independent use of provided resources  

●        Excellent written and verbal communication skills using a variety of tools including phone, email, a core claims system and vendor platforms            

●        Seeks to collaborate and promotes inclusion and respect       

●        Has good judgment and makes decisions in an informed, confident and timely manner in the best interest of the company and policy holder  

●        Thinks critically and anticipates, identifies and develops solutions to problems in a timely manner; operates with latitude for un-reviewed action or decision

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

●        Ability to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment.          

●        Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods (75%-90%).   

●        Ability to perform work in a dynamic environment.
