Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a highly collaborative school environment. This contract position is perfect for educators passionate about early intervention, eager to make a meaningful impact on PreK and Kindergarten students.

In this role, you'll work approximately 4 hours per day, four days a week on-site, primarily serving students in a PreK/Kindergarten setting. Your expertise will guide the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), as well as provide specialized instruction that ensures every student receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate preferred (however, candidates without the certificate but with strong experience are encouraged to apply)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of special education processes, documentation, and best practices
  • Experience working with young learners in PreK or Kindergarten settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective individualized instruction
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage caseload documentation efficiently

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs
  • Collaborate closely with general education staff, administrators, and families
  • Provide direct instruction to students, adapting curriculum and teaching strategies as needed
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Advocate for students, ensuring inclusive and supportive learning environments
