Job Description This position is responsible for providing clinical, educational, research, and administrative support for the implantable device program. The role coordinates the interrogation of implantable devices, manages data acquired during onsite interrogation and data submitted by patients from home to an internet‑hosted database, participates in ongoing research studies, maintains several related databases, and provides education to fellows, NP/PAs, and other staff on device utility, interrogation data, and device management of arrhythmia patients. Posting Specifics Benefits Eligible: Yes Shift Details: Full time 40 hours Unit/Location: Intermountain Health Heart & Vascular – 360 West Park Cardiology Minimum Qualifications Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. One (1) year experience in cardiology, either in a clinic or hospital setting. Minimum of one (1) current/valid certification from the following list: Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification within 4 years of hire. Certified Rhythm Analysis Tech (CRAT) credential/certification required within 2 years of hire. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree. Experience reviewing and managing remote device transmission (e.g., Carelink, Latitude, Merlin). Cardiovascular technologist or EP lab technologist holding minimum of RCES, RCIS credential. Proven ability and verifiable experience with cardiac devices. Physical Requirements Need to see, read, and assess information, labels, and patient needs; operate monitors; identify equipment; and use equipment and supplies. Frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment with precision; frequent computer use and typing for documentation. Expected to lift and transfer patients; may lift items up to and including heavy weight items. Needs to walk and assist with transporting patients, obtaining and distributing supplies, and moving equipment; may push/pull gurneys and portable equipment. May stand in a stationary position for an extended period. Location Intermountain Health Heart and Vascular – West Park Cardiology, Grand Junction, Colorado Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Salary $24.06 - $37.15 hourly, actual rate dependent upon experience.
