Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Tax Associate. ## **Responsibilities:** * Maintain exemption certificates in our electronic management system.* Update customer accounts with tax exemptions.* Assisting with pulling customer exemption certificates for audits.* Adhere to Company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.* Regular and reliable attendance.* Upload and maintain tax certificates in the software database received for customer accounts.* Assist with tax research and planning.* Assist with sales tax audits.* Oversee a high volume of emails during a standard shift.* Oversee incoming sales tax question calls.* Prepare, assist, and support with all other requests relating to sales tax.* Work on special projects as needed.* Always represent the company in a professional manner.* Abide by all policies, rules and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures.* Support corporate programs, goals and initiatives of the company.* Other duties as assigned. ## **Qualifications:** * Sales Tax experience preferred but not required, training will be available* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers* Ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance and meet timelines as required.* Strong and accurate data entry skills.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (outlook, work, excel, powerpoint, access, etc)* Eagerness to learn and strong critical thinking skills are required.* Be a collective team player.* Proficient with various software programs including Trilogie, ECMS/ECM, Excel and Word.
