Smiles of Katy is looking for a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team! Whether you’re a new graduate ready to begin your career or a seasoned hygienist looking for a great team and consistent part-time schedule, we’d love to connect with you.

Our team describes the office as collaborative, goal-oriented, motivating, positive, and strongly team-focused. We’re looking for a hygienist who enjoys working alongside others, building relationships with patients, and contributing to a supportive practice environment.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with the following schedule:

• Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Potential opportunity for a fourth day in the future

Minimum Qualifications  

• Current dental hygienist license in Texas and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• New graduates and seasoned hygienists are both welcome! 
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
