Overview

A Peoria‑based hospital is seeking a skilled Travel IR Technologist to support a busy interventional radiology department. This role is ideal for an experienced technologist who thrives in a procedural environment and can step confidently into a fast‑moving team.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with IR procedures including vascular access, biopsies, drain placements, and image‑guided interventions
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain high‑quality imaging standards
• Prepare patients, manage supplies, and ensure procedural safety
• Participate in call rotation as assigned
• Collaborate with nurses, radiologists, and support staff to maintain efficient workflow

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of IR experience
• BLS – required
• Active Illinois license – required
• Strong procedural competency and ability to work independently
• Comfortable taking call and adapting to changing case volumes
