This role also plays a key part in building structured procurement processes and developing the tools and frameworks that support them.WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:Support the Marketing & Communications category, acting as the primary procurement partner for those business teams and managing their supplier ecosystem end-to-endDevelop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with SimCorp's business goals and operational requirementsDrive structured, process-oriented procurement execution: managing intake, vendor accreditation, due diligence, contracting, and renewals in a consistent and scalable mannerLead vendor accreditation and due diligence processes when onboarding new suppliers, coordinating across legal, compliance, and finance stakeholdersManage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring suppliers meet performance expectations and service levelsSupport the development and implementation of back-office procurement tools and process improvements across functionsConduct market research and industry analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate options, and recommend cost-effective solutionsCollaborate with business units to understand their needs and ensure procurement activities support their goalsMonitor supplier performance against SLAs, quality standards, and contractual obligationsEnsure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations, mitigating risk across all procurement activitiesAnalyze spend data and report on key metrics including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle timesImplement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and increase operational efficiencyLead procurement for complex or high-value contracts, including tendering, evaluation, and negotiationProvide mentorship and support to junior category managers and procurement staffTYPE OF WORK THIS ROLE ENGAGES WITH:Day-to-day procurement operations for the Marketing & Communications function, including briefing, supplier selection, PO management, and vendor governanceVendor onboarding: coordinating accreditation, due diligence reviews, and supplier registration processesProcurement tooling: identifying gaps in back-office systems and contributing to the development or rollout of new tools across procurement functionsSpend management: processing and analyzing spend data to segment suppliers, identify savings, and drive consolidation opportunitiesClose coordination with SAM on tool rationalization, licensing optimization, and cost governanceSupporting governance principles such as avoiding overlap, optimizing vendor portfolios, and managing compliance riskWHAT WE VALUE:3 years or more of experience in category management and procurement, ideally with exposure to Marketing & Communications or similar indirect categoriesSolid understanding of end-to-end procurement lifecycle (intake, vendor accreditation, contracting, renewal)Experience running structured procurement processes and working with cross-functional stakeholders including suppliers, legal, finance, and business teamsExposure to procurement tool implementation or back-office process developmentAbility to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver value while mitigating riskGood analytical skills with keen attention to detailAdvanced English communication skills, verbal and writtenOTHER REQUIREMENTS:Able to work in the EMEA time zone2x RTO per weekBENEFITSAn attractive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement.
