Sr. Licensed Vocational Nurse - Westwood Children's Health Center

Description Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We're seeking a dedicated LVN to join our team at the Westwood Children's Health Center clinic! In this impactful role, you'll work alongside a compassionate team, delivering outstanding primary and specialty care to children of all ages in a supportive outpatient environment.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Record and monitor patient vitals and medical history
• Conduct blood draws with precision
• Administer injections, performing skin prick tests, and other procedures for testing
• Perform EKGs
• Administer medications (including PO, IM, SQ, PR, Intradermal, Topical, Inhalants, Eye drops, and Ear drops)
• Collect and manage patient specimens accurately
• Maintain clean and well-stocked patient rooms

Salary Range: $36.34-47.94 Hourly Qualifications Required:
* Possess active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification listed.
* Possession of active BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
* Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed.
* Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician.
* Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems.
* Perform phlebotomy, CPR, Injections, and other skills within scope of practice.
* Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers.
* Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Windows computer function, computer navigation, and ability to use computerized patient care systems.
* Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments
* Verbal skills to effectively convey sensitive information in a courteous manner in person or on the telephone.
