Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse
• Specialty: Medical Surgical (MS)
• Location: Sioux City
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• End Date: 01/25/2027
• Required Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Oncology nursing
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) or equivalent
  • ACLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) or equivalent
  • NIHSS certification (can be obtained during onboarding)
  • Valid drivers license
  • Iowa state licensure
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, or medical patients
  • High-acuity care experience preferred
  • Experience with administering drips such as Heparin, PCA, epidural, and chemotherapy (if certified)
• Additional Information:
  • The role involves caring for patients undergoing various surgeries and treatments, including orthopedic, urology, general surgery, and oncology procedures.
  • Candidates may be required to float across local campuses within the same discipline.
  • Candidate must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on drivers license.
  • Travel may include working 2 of 3 holiday days (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years).
  • Submission requires specific documentation including recent supervisory reference forms and skills checklists relevant to the discipline.
