Senior Test EngineerStatus: Full-time, Onsite Location: Buffalo, New York Relocation: Possible for ideal candidate Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 Bonus: None Specified Visa Support: No Visa Sponsorship AvailablePosition Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to support the transition of complex electronic products from engineering development into production. This onsite position will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Design Engineering, Production Engineering, and external manufacturing partners to develop, deploy, troubleshoot, and improve test systems used for circuit card assemblies and electronic control hardware. The role requires strong electrical engineering fundamentals, hands-on troubleshooting expertise, and experience developing automated test equipment for sophisticated electronic assemblies.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute transition plans for electronic designs moving from engineering into production and ultimately to supply-chain manufacturing partners.Design and develop test equipment used by design engineers, production engineers, and manufacturing test personnel.Create test hardware solutions involving interface circuitry, wiring diagrams, rack documentation, power distribution, switch matrices, data acquisition systems, and commercial off-the-shelf test equipment.Develop and maintain automated test software using technologies such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Python, C, C++, and C#.Integrate laboratory and production test equipment, including signal generators, digital multimeters, power supplies, computers, and related instrumentation.Design test cables, including electrical schematics and associated mechanical requirements.Support test equipment fabrication, verification, qualification, and acceptance.Troubleshoot, maintain, and provide ongoing technical support for production test systems.Lead resolution of test equipment and electronic system issues during the transition into manufacturing.Transfer test equipment into internal manufacturing environments or subcontractor production sites.Develop specifications and technical guidance for test equipment created by external manufacturing partners.Assist with supplier training and communicate technical test-system requirements.Improve hardware and software solutions to increase manufacturing efficiency and reduce test execution time.Lead engineering and test activities associated with New Product Introduction across multiple sites.Investigate complex electronic assembly failures and systemic non-conformances.Perform root-cause troubleshooting while partnering with Quality, Manufacturing, and Test teams on Root Cause Correct Bryant Staffing Solutions
