HR Generalist – Greater Milwaukee Area An MRA member in the Greater Milwaukee Area is hiring a highly capable and proactive HR Generalist to assist with day‑to‑day HR operations while partnering closely with HR leadership on strategic people initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both rolling up their sleeves to handle daily employee needs and driving programs from concept through implementation. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders—supporting payroll, benefits, and employee relations—while also helping shape and execute programs that enhance the employee experience and drive organizational effectiveness. Key Competencies Ownership & Initiative: Takes accountability and drives work from idea to implementation Strategic Thinking: Able to contribute to and execute broader people strategies Employee Focus: Committed to delivering high-quality employee experiences Communication: Clear, empathetic, and effective communicator across all levels Organization & Execution: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Confidentiality & Integrity: Exercises sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information Responsibilities HR Operations & Employee Support Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate support on payroll, benefits, policies, and HR processes. Administer payroll and benefits processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Support employee relations matters, including coaching managers, resolving concerns, and assisting with investigations. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Lead full‑cycle recruiting and partner with hiring managers to fill open requisitions. Work with HR leadership to develop and maintain the company internship program. Attend career fairs and assist with developing relationships with local high schools, technical colleges, and universities. Own and continuously improve onboarding processes and the new‑hire experience. Program Development & Execution Partner with HR leadership to design and implement employee programs (engagement, retention, performance management, etc.). Take initiatives from concept through execution—developing plans, driving communication, and ensuring successful rollout. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR effectiveness and scalability. Collaborate with HR leadership to align people strategies with business goals. Bring forward ideas and insights based on employee feedback, trends, and operational data. Culture & Employee Wellness Collaborate with HR leadership and internal team members to champion employee wellness and culture programs such as quarterly wellness education, wellness challenges, and engagement activities. Compliance & Best Practices Ensure HR practices comply with laws and company policies. Assist with compliance audits. Assist with mandatory reporting requirements. Support company safety initiatives. Office/Admin Support Order supplies, distribute company giveaways, and organize company launches as needed. Own or assist with projects that improve department effectiveness. Take on additional responsibilities as a small but mighty team. Education / Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Minimum 3–5 years of human resource management experience preferred. Confident presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Certification in SHRM, PHR preferred. Required Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of hiring processes; experience hiring in a manufacturing environment preferred. Expertise in HR policies and procedures. Strong knowledge of benefit administration and compliance. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment‑related laws and regulations; experience in a multi‑state environment preferred. Intermediate experience in MS Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
