Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Willis-Knighton Health System.

Additional Details:

Previous Employment Requirements: Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff

Required Skills/Experience: Wound management, JP drains, wound vacs, Hemodialysis Catheter care, Fistulas, PCA, pain management, cardiac rhythm interpretation (telemetry capabilities), non-titratable cardiac drips. Will accept a first-time traveler: First time travelers must have 2 years of perm staff RN experience in acute care

Required Credentials: Traveler will be required to PASS an EKG competency exam as part of compliance, prior to arrival (includes MedSurg RN)

Unit/Facility Details: Heavy focus on Urology post operative patients - Robotic Radial and Simple Prostatectomies, Partial Cystectomies, Partial Nephrectomies, Open Radical Nephrectomies, and Nephroureterectomies. This is a fairly new focus for the department and there are many educational opportunities available to travelers. Med/surg overflow: Sepsis, Cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA. Post Op Overflow: occasionally we will see Total Joints (Knees, Hips, Shoulders); GI/Abdominal surgeries (Hemicolectomies, Bowel Resection, etc.).

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every other. Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week – this is mandatory.

Floating Requirements: Any Med/Surg area within the hospital Travelers float first

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 07/04/2026, 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
