Description

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN with strong spine, neuro, and ENT OR experience for a teaching hospital assignment requiring an active MN RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit specializing in Spine/Neuro/ENT surgical procedures
• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation, 317 staffed beds
• 5x8 day and evening shifts with start times of 6:45am, 9am, 11am, or 2:45pm
• Weekend shifts required as needed per department
• On-call responsibilities as needed per department
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system

Requirements

• Active or pending Minnesota RN license accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required, with strong specialty background
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, gynecologic, general surgery, and robotics preferred
• At least 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Documentation including date of birth, SSN, and certification copies required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties including spine, neuro, and ENT cases
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates must complete required pre-start training modules
• Minnesota state fingerprinting requirement applies, which may require travel to a LiveScan location if not near one
• Returning staff must have been off assignment for at least 3 months since last worked as perm staff or per diem
• RTO requests should not exceed 5 days
• Local candidates are not accepted; a 100-mile radius from the facility is required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Block scheduling accommodations available
