Job Description

As a Security Officer Warehouse Access Screening in Beltsville, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents through a professional presence. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and assist with directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas of the distribution location.
Control vehicle, driver, and delivery access at gates and entry points in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts and irregular conditions.
Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, trailer yards, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
