Summary This position is located within Commander, Mid‑Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The purpose of this position is to provide beverage service in a dining room, bar/lounge facility. Responsibilities Sets up the bar for operation, including garnishes for mixed drinks. Mixes and serves a limited variety of alcoholic or non‑alcoholic drinks to order, following established recipes. Serves patrons directly, receives payment, operates the cash register, and gives correct change. At close of facility, completes the Daily Activity Report (DAR), verifies the amount of money collected, and deposits the cashier bag into the safe. Performs basic cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing bar equipment, glassware, and utensils to maintain a clean working area. Ensures all current sanitation requirements are followed and maintained. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Must pass all applicable records and background checks. Must successfully pass the E‑Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment. Starting May 7, 2025, non‑affiliated individuals requesting access will need a REAL‑ID‑compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification to access CNRMA installations. Must obtain a Health Card prior to the first day of work. Must successfully pass a Food Handlers Sanitation Course and update and maintain it annually. Subject to irregular tour—including nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Knowledge of basic arithmetic and cash handling procedures to compute charges and make change quickly and accurately. Working knowledge of sanitation practices and procedures. Ability to exercise control over a large group of people to ensure good order and discipline as necessary. Skill to mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages from a limited bar. Minimum of six months of related experience strongly preferred. Education This position does not have a positive education requirement. Salary Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
