Production Operator

Production OperatorThis role involves operating a metal coil processing line, including loading metal coils with a hi-lo, feeding coils into the machine, and ensuring that finished coils meet customer specifications. You will work in a hands-on, physical manufacturing environment with large metal coils and bins, and over time you will learn to use the computer system to pull orders and run the line independently.Job ResponsibilitiesLoad metal coils onto the production line using a hi-lo in a safe and controlled mannerFeed metal coils into the processing line according to established proceduresMonitor the machine as it trims metal coils to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistencyRemove trimmed metal coils from the line and handle them safely using appropriate equipmentTag and label coils accurately based on gauge, material, and customer requirementsPush, pull, and maneuver bins of metal products as part of daily production activitiesEssential SkillsAt least 3 recent years of machine operation experience that includes set up, or a experience in welding and fabrication, or a mechanical skilsProficiency operating a hi-lo or similar material handling equipment to move and load metal coilsAbility to perform physical work, including pushing and pulling heavy bins and handling large metal coilsComfort working in a manufacturing environment with loud noise and frequent hi-lo trafficWillingness and ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasksPossession of a valid driver's licenseBasic mechanical aptitude to understand how the coil processing line operatesJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Fenton, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40560.00 - $40560.00/yr.
