The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine and be comfortable working with a diverse patient population. The position requires a commitment to teamwork and the ability to respond effectively to critical situations. Responsibilities Provide nursing care for adult and pediatric patients in an emergency department setting. Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; administer medications and blood products as necessary. Administer and manage procedural sedation and continuous IV treatments. Perform phlebotomy and start IVs for patient treatment. Conduct assessments and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Adhere to isolation precautions and safety protocols. Float between units as required based on patient census. Participate in continuous education and maintain competency in required skills. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience is required. Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and starting IVs. Knowledge of management protocols for severe cases and emergency medications. PROFICIENCY in interpreting dysrhythmias and administering IV vasopressors. Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is preferred. Ability to work every other weekend and minimal RTO is appreciated. Additional Information Scrub colors must be a combination of navy and white. This position may require flexible scheduling, including floating to different units as patient care demands increase.
