Job Title: Travel Certified Surgical/Scrub Technologist Profession: Nursing Specialty: Scrub Technologist, Surgical Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, Monday - Friday plus potential on-call Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program Certifications: Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential; Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association Must-Have: Previous operating room experience; Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures; Ability to participate in call coverage and respond within required timeframes. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff. As a valued member of the surgical team, you will play an important role in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care before, during, and after surgery. You will work closely with the surgical team to support patients through the perioperative experience. Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, assisting during surgical procedures, managing surgical instruments and supplies, and ensuring high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process. You will assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures by maintaining sterile technique and handling instruments and supplies. Additionally, you will prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures while maintaining a safe and organized environment. Support perioperative patient care by assisting with patient transport, positioning, and specimen management. Participate in on-call coverage and be prepared to scrub urgent or emergent procedures within required response times.
