Registered Nurse – Med Surg in Templeton, California. Travel assignment begins 09/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,003 to $2,122 with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 3x12 nights. Setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital medical/surgical unit. This role requires a current California RN license and BLS, with an Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) and at least two years of recent Med-Surg experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care on the medical/surgical unit, including assessment, planning, and provision of nursing interventions.
- Care for patients across age groups (adolescent, adult, geriatric) with attention to physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs.
- Perform medication administration, intravenous therapy (including blood products), and routine nursing skills.
- Manage indwelling catheters and drains; maintain sterile technique; assess and care for acute post-operative wounds.
- Monitor vascular patency and operate equipment such as glucose meters, IV pumps, and PCA devices; initiate multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and discharge instructions; delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary staff within scope of practice.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of two years’ recent experience in Med/Surg or equivalent field required
- Ability to work night shifts on a Med/Surg unit; experience on Med/Surg floor preferred
