Description: The position is for an MRI Tech. Shifts are scheduled from Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Charting experience with Epic is required. Request for time off and special scheduling must be included with submission. Requests will only be accommodated if approved prior to booking. Policies allow the facility to call off one shift every two weeks. First-time travelers are not accepted. Local applicants are not accepted due to radius rule criteria. Pending licenses are not accepted; an active license is a must. The candidate must be proficient in adult acute care and outpatient settings. Competency across all age groups from neonate to older adult is required. Imaging skills required include chest, abdomen, pelvis, head (with and without contrast), musculoskeletal trauma, and spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar). Skills in contrast media preparation and administration, as well as peripheral IV starts, are necessary. Familiarity with equipment from various manufacturers, including GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba, is essential. Floating is required per policy, and staff may be asked to float to other units or campuses based on census. Candidates should have experience with adult acute care, outpatient imaging, as well as trauma experience. Daily patient census is around 40, with three imaging rooms available. The hospital operates as a community teaching medical center. Qualified candidates will demonstrate competencies and must be able to perform tasks effectively.
