Pharmacist

Ensure accurate entry of orders Maintain pharmacy security Adhere to required delivery schedules Verify technician-entered orders for accuracy Check completeness and precision of new and refill labels and orders Check content and accuracy of drug packaging and labeling Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs Provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services Support pharmacy management goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation Follow applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA Contribute to continuous improvement, quality, and service within the pharmacy team Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Utah, active and in good standing Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred IV Certification or experience preferred Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified preferred Knowledge of DEA and state law regarding controlled drug dispensing Ability to provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation Ability to follow applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in accurate order entry, drug screening, and dispensing services while adhering to state regulations and pharmacy management goals. Holds a valid pharmacist license and possesses knowledge of controlled drug dispensing and IV preparation.
