Job Title: Shift Material Handler Job Description

Join the team as a Shift Material Handler and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. You will be responsible for picking, receiving, distributing, and organizing parts so the production floor stays stocked, efficient, and well supported. This role combines hands-on material movement with basic inventory and computer tasks in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse environment.

• Move materials from the warehouse to the production floor in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform labeling, kitting, picking, and packing tasks to support production and shipping activities.
• Use pallet jacks and other approved material handling equipment to transport parts and materials safely.
• Maintain organized inventory locations and ensure parts are stored and labeled correctly.
• Follow 5S and other safety principles to keep the work area clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.
• Identify and proactively resolve basic material or inventory issues, escalating when necessary.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including checking in materials and preparing outgoing orders.
• Use RF scanners and basic computer systems to track inventory movements and updates.
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks while also collaborating effectively with a diverse team.
• Adhere to all workplace policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment such as steel or composite-toed shoes.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. infrequently and 30 lbs. regularly.
• Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use simple software tools.
• Ability to read and use a ruler accurately.
• Attention to detail when picking, packing, labeling, and organizing inventory.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Experience with picking and packing in a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse inventory practices.
• Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and perform material handling tasks.
• Comfort working in a warehouse setting with inventory and material flow responsibilities.
• Willingness to wear steel or composite-toed shoes as required.

• Experience operating reach trucks, standing forklifts, or scissor lifts.
• Experience using RF scanners for inventory management.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Exposure to Oracle or similar inventory/ERP systems.
• Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, or production support roles.

You will join a well-organized operation where assignments are designed to be longer-term, typically lasting between 6–8 months, with a strong track record of converting high-performing contractors after they have demonstrated consistent skills, positive attitude, and strong effort. You receive paid holiday hours after reaching 960 regular hours, and the facility closes for a total of 11 days, providing more than half of those days as paid time. The workplace is climate controlled, clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed, with individual workstations and good lighting that support focus and comfort. This role is based in a smaller, clean, and temperature-controlled warehouse that is well lit, organized, and not loud. The standard schedule runs from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, offering a consistent evening shift. Each team member has a dedicated workstation, and after training, you may wear one headphone while working. The facility follows 5S principles, promoting cleanliness and order, and provides easy access to an on-premise manager for HR-related questions. Steel or composite-toed shoes are required as part of the dress code to ensure safety while handling materials and operating equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN.

The pay range for this position is $21.70 - $21.70/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Chaska,MN.
