Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

This is an early-career mechanical engineering opportunity focused on the design of building mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing, for institutional, retail and commercial projects.

The engineer will work as part of a multidisciplinary design team under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer and will participate throughout the project lifecycle, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, specifications and construction administration.

Day-to-day responsibilities include sizing and specifying HVAC and plumbing equipment such as air-handling units, chillers, cooling towers and compressors; performing HVAC load and other engineering calculations; developing coordinated construction documents; conducting site surveys; attending design meetings; and assisting during construction with submittal reviews, RFIs, field observations and coordination with contractors, architects, owners and other engineering disciplines.

This position is best suited for an engineer who is technically capable but still developing professionally and wants hands-on exposure to both design and construction-phase engineering.
