Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week outpatient assignment working 4x10 shifts Monday through Thursday with no weekends.

Details

• Outpatient pediatric therapy setting
• 4x10 schedule, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM; no weekends
• Patient population includes Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, genetic syndromes, coordination disorders, post-injury/surgery, TBI, and feeding challenges
• Caseload of approximately 8–10 clients per day with 1:1, 60-minute treatment sessions
• Charting completed in Epic; documentation time is provided during the day
• No floating to other units
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active NJ OT license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• NBCOT certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• NURSYS and state license verification required
• Copy of certifications required

Additional Information

• OT, PT, and ST collaborate as an interdisciplinary team with a family-centered care approach
• Schedulers manage caseload scheduling; OTs are responsible for gathering and cleaning equipment between sessions
• Specialized equipment includes suspended equipment with crash pads and mats, spider cage, red cord, splint and cast supplies, NMES, hypervibe, and other standard therapy tools
• Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Summer is the busy season for this area due to its proximity to the Jersey Shore; candidates are encouraged to seek housing west of Toms River in towns such as Manchester, Whiting, Bayville, Brick, Forked River, Waretown, or Barnegat
• RTO and schedule requests must be confirmed prior to consideration
