General Manager

Responsibilities Provide strategic insight, operational advice, and leadership related to the division's long‑range business objectives/goals. Oversee all aspects of homebuilding operation in the division, including sales, marketing, purchasing, land, construction, and service. Lead the division's management team and staff to execute the business plan and adapt operations to meet company‑specific goals, including local and company‑wide initiatives. Continuously seek to improve quality, customer service, operational excellence, and overall execution in the local market. Monitor relevant changes in the marketplace and position the division to take advantage of opportunities. Recommend long‑range strategic and tactical plans for land acquisition and future communities based on market research and competitive data. Attract, hire, develop, and retain a talented internal team of employees. Develop and maintain a trusted and capable network of external partners, such as trade partners and land brokers. Adhere to and promote the company's mission, vision, and values. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, finance, construction, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required). Minimum of 8 years of homebuilding experience. Experience in at least two distinct areas of the business (e.g., sales and production OR purchasing and finance). Experience in a "leader of leaders" role. Position Standards Outstanding business instincts and ability to adopt company‑wide processes and procedures. Enthusiasm and passion for the homebuilding industry. Ability to create excitement and clarity around business objectives and change initiatives.
