Associate Veterinarian – Emergency Medicine Position Overview

Seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to provide emergency medical and surgical care for small animals in a dedicated emergency hospital. The role offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with exposure to a wide variety of emergency cases. Both experienced and early-career veterinarians are encouraged to apply.

Practice Overview

Emergency-only small animal practice
Average caseload: 10–15 patients per doctor daily
Approximately 3:1 technician-to-doctor support ratio
Caseload includes emergency medicine and surgery
Collaborative and supportive team culture
Modern facilities equipped with:
- Digital radiography
- Ultrasound
- In-house laboratory
- Dental suite
- Surgical suite

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $130,000–$150,000 , plus production bonus
Sign-on bonus of up to $100,000 (with applicable commitment)

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat emergency medical and surgical cases
Perform emergency procedures and surgeries as needed
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff
Communicate effectively with clients and referring veterinarians
Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
Eligible for veterinary licensure
Compassionate, client-focused approach to patient care
Strong communication and client education skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
