Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position requiring RRT certification and recent Epic EMR experience.

Job Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 7:15,
• Weekend and holiday coverage required, including Thanksgiving and Christmas,
• No on-call requirements,
• Adult critical care and pediatric patient populations,
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation,
• Performs airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care,
• Administers aerosolized medications via oral inhalation, EZPAP, IPPB, and MDI,
• Provides CPT, incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy including high flow nasal cannula, and arteriocentesis,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Floating expected unless otherwise specified,

Job Requirements

• RRT certification required; CRT not accepted,
• BLS and ACLS certification required,
• Active TN or compact license required if applicable,
• Minimum 1 year of experience required,
• Prior travel experience preferred,
• Epic EMR experience within the last 18 months required, clearly documented on candidate profile,
• Must pass Epic competency exam with only one attempt allowed,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs),
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven,

• Works as part of a respiratory therapy team within a critical care and pediatric setting,
• First-time travelers may be considered given prior travel experience is preferred but not strictly required,
