About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a contract opportunity in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The RN will provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care across Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and recovery services in a department averaging approximately 850 900 births annually .

The RN will assess maternal and neonatal patients, develop individualized plans of care, respond to emergency situations, administer medications and IV therapy, provide patient and family education, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assess maternal and neonatal patients, recognize changes in clinical condition, establish nursing priorities, and initiate appropriate interventions.

• Develop, implement, evaluate, and update individualized nursing plans of care, including patient education and discharge planning.

• Provide Labor & Delivery, postpartum, recovery, and obstetric nursing care while monitoring maternal and newborn status.

• Administer prescribed medications and IV therapy and operate specialized patient-care equipment, including infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, and other applicable equipment.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and provide appropriate guidance and delegation to nursing support personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Labor & Delivery / Obstetric Registered Nurse Experience Required.

• Current, Active Oklahoma Registered Nurse License or Active Compact RN License Required.

• Current BLS,BCLS and ACLS Certifications Required.

• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE Certifications Required.

• Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills Required; Must Meet Pre-Employment Background Check and Drug Screen Requirements and Be Available for 3x12-Hour Night Shifts With No Holiday RTO.
