About the Position

Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Mammography Tech Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) and 8 hours (11:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: Compact license must be in hand at submission Description: This role requires floating between units. On-call duties are not required for this position. Weekend shifts are required, specifically Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 5 PM. There are expected ratios of two screening mammography exams per hour per technologist. The candidate must have experience with screening mammography exams only. Previous charge experience is not applicable. Experience with any community hospital is required. Previous charting system experience is necessary, with any charting system name accepted. The position involves working with a variety of mammography skills including 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, screening mammograms, and stereotactic biopsy. Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment knowledge is necessary. Candidates may float between sister facilities nearby their contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Travelers may be expected to work three of the five major holidays during the contract period. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless there has been an agreed-upon interview. Module completion is required before start and during orientation, with compliance processes necessary prior to the start date.
