Teller Full-Time In Person Carlsbad, NM, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1112 Salary Range: $16.00 To $20.00 Annually Job Title: Teller Department: Tellers Reports To: Teller Supervisor and/or Branch Manager SUMMARY: Receives and pays out money and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements. Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances Enters customers’ transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts. Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds Orders daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash Balances currency and coin in cash drawer/vault at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in from automated teller machine and/or night depository Accept loan payments Prepare and record cash transactions for customer change order requests Accept and process large coin deposits Redeem and record savings bond redemption transactions Receive and record customer item stop-payment requests Prepare and record account closing transactions Explains, promotes, or sells products or services such as cashiers’ checks, and savings bonds Prepare and verify wire documents EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School education or GED Ability to work independently Attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through Basic math skills including simple percentage calculations Basic computer skills Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
