Job Title: Registered Nurse, Long Term Care Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Full Time mix of Day and PM shifts Hours per Shift: 36 guaranteed hours Experience: 0 years minimum License: Wisconsin Registered Nursing license Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification required Must-Have: Two-year degree in nursing required; Four-year degree in nursing preferred; 1+ years of related work experience preferred Description: The Nursing Home Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare. Timely communication to physicians and families of significant changes in resident condition is essential. Complete all applicable resident assessments as part of the responsibilities. Medication administration must be conducted while following the 5 Rights. Wound care and assessments are performed as needed. Assist CNAs with answering call lights and monitoring residents for changes in condition. Act as a leader on the floor by assessing and directing situations as needed. Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation as required. Maintain accurate resident records with thorough and accurate charting. Perform other duties as requested.
