Impact young lives and contribute to a supportive educational environment by providing physical therapy services to elementary school students, grades K-4. This contract opportunity offers a consistent and manageable schedule—just one day per week, working from 8:40 AM to 3:00 PM. All therapy sessions take place in a single elementary school, ensuring a seamless experience without the need to travel between multiple sites.
Your expertise will be valued as you deliver individualized physical therapy interventions, working with students in one-on-one, 30-minute sessions. You will conduct a total of 9 sessions throughout the day, focusing on helping each student achieve their movement goals and build confidence in their abilities. The day of the week is flexible, so you can easily coordinate with your other commitments.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Understanding of IEP implementation and documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct individualized physical therapy sessions for students in grades K-4
- Assess student needs and develop tailored therapy plans
- Document progress and collaborate with educational staff and families
- Maintain compliance with school and state requirements for therapy services
- Foster a supportive, encouraging atmosphere that helps students thrive
