Description

American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with a minimum of 3 recent years of experience in a level 1 trauma or teaching hospital epilepsy monitoring unit, including SEEG and SPECT experience.

Details

• Level 1 trauma, teaching hospital setting within an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Work settings include Adult ICU, Adult Inpatient, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, NICU, and PICU
• Perform procedures such as ECI Brain Death studies, electrode placement, long-term/video monitoring, portable recording, seizure studies, and sleep deprived EEGs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with some weekend coverage
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers required to float as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 recent years of experience in a level 1 trauma and/or teaching hospital or similar facility with SEEG (stereo) and SPECT experience in an epilepsy monitoring unit
• Graduate of an approved school in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
• BLS required
• R.EEGT certification preferred; license required if applicable
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification
