Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is at the forefront of clinical operations and acts as a primary advocate for patient health and well-being. Working directly under the supervision of a provider or Registered Nurse, the LPN performs clinical procedures, manages administrative functions, and assists with outreach to foster strong patient engagement and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Interview patients, measure vital signs, prepare treatment rooms, and perform clinical procedures or treatments as ordered and supervised by the provider or RN.
• Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Confidently perform blood draws and assist with ordered lab and radiology tests.
• Provider Support & Transcription: Accurately list diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as directed by the provider; transcribe patient orders for labs, radiology, and medications.
• Administrative & Engagement Support: Perform basic clerical tasks (answering phones, filing, maintaining records), manage supply inventory, ensure a clean clinical environment, and assist with patient outreach initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Credentials: Associate degree with an active LPN or LVN license; current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (valid for at least 90 days past start date).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an LPN; primary care and/or occupational health experience preferred.
• Clinical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency and confidence in phlebotomy/blood drawing.
• Compliance & Clearances: Strong working knowledge of HIPAA regulations; ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
• Core Competencies: Ability to prioritize and plan work, communicate effectively, and maintain positive working relationships with diverse populations.
