Staff Accountant Location: Torrance Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 (depending on skills and experience) Work Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break) Commute: Hybrid (Onsite 2 days a week. Temporarily 4 days a week during probational period) Our client, a mid-sized accounting firm offering a hybrid work environment and exposure to a wide range of accounting functions including bookkeeping, financial reporting, attestation, and tax. The role supports multiple client engagements simultaneously, making it ideal for candidates looking to develop well-rounded accounting skills in a client-facing environment. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Daily Accounting Operations Perform data entry, AR/AP processing (invoicing, payments, collections) Handle expense reimbursements, check runs, and journal entries Closing & Financial Reporting Support monthly and year-end closing (journal entries, bank reconciliations, subledgers) Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement) and client-specific reports Assist in preparing reporting packages for headquarters Client & Audit Support Assist clients with audit requests from external auditors Manage multiple client engagements and maintain communication Tax & Compliance Prepare and process miscellaneous tax filings (sales & use tax, property tax, informational returns) Support individual and corporate tax return preparation Attestation Services Perform financial statement reviews and compilations Qualifications Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, attestation, or tax (corporate/individual) Public accounting experience (CPA firm or outsourcing firm) is a strong plus Accounting degree preferred CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is a strong plus Strong communication and project management skills Ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage, or ERP systems preferred Japanese language skills are a plus but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
