PT - Physical Therapist

Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of effective treatment programs that assist patients in returning to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator to patients, families, and colleagues while upholding professional standards and compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans focused on discharging patients within an established length of stay.
• Document patient care accurately, including goal writing and charge entry in compliance with regulations.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment.
• Complete state mandated continuing education requirements to maintain professional licensure.
• Actively pursue professional development opportunities and apply learned information to improve service quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols ensuring the safety of patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Valid Physical Therapist license for the state of practice.
• Experience in orthopedics is required.
