This position will be full-time 1+ year contract and hybrid. Candidates must be currently within a 1-hour commute of Trenton with the ability to work onsite 3-days per week.What You'll DoDevelop backend services and enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, and related technologiesParticipate in application analysis, design, coding, testing, maintenance, enhancement, and production support activitiesBuild and maintain server-side rendered user interfaces using ThymeleafCollaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutionsGather, analyze, and document business and functional requirementsTranslate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteriaManage source code and participate in code reviews and branch management activities using GitBuild, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, AWS DevOps tools, or similar technologiesDesign, develop, and maintain relational database schemas with an emphasis on normalization, validation, and data integritySupport deployment activities and perform basic server administration functionsContribute to front-end development using HTML and CSSTroubleshoot and resolve application defects and technical issuesWhat You'll NeedRequired:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field7 years of hands-on experience with Java, Object-Oriented Programming, Spring Boot, J2EE, and related backend development frameworks7 years of experience using Maven or similar build and dependency management tools5 years of experience using Git version control systems5 years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices5 years of experience with HTML and CSS5 years experience with Thymeleaf3 years of experience working with relational databases including PostgreSQL or RDS environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in cross-functional team environmentsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilitiesDemonstrated attention to detail and commitment to software qualityPreferred:5 years of experience performing requirements gathering, business analysis, and user story development5 years of experience creating use case documentation and business process flowsSuccessful completion of an IT certification program, accredited college training, and/or graduate-level technology educationFull-time professional experience developing and supporting enterprise IT applicationsPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
