Registered Nurse - Patient Educator (PRN) Immediate Openings - Lowell, ME

Abbott seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver in-home patient education on PT/INR testing equipment and anticoagulation management for Acelis Connected Health customers. This per-diem position involves scheduling appointments, traveling to patient homes within the Lowell, Maine area, and documenting training records electronically.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate training appointments directly with customers and caregivers via remote methods
• Travel to patient homes and demonstrate proper use, care, and operation of PT/INR equipment
• Instruct patients and caregivers on finger stick blood sampling techniques and test reporting options
• Document and electronically submit patient training records using secure encrypted communication
• Maintain ongoing communication with Acelis Connected Health via phone, email, and internet platforms

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Clinical experience required
• Direct experience or exposure to anticoagulation management or homecare preferred
• Health education training experience a definite plus
• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel minimum 100 miles roundtrip
• Computer and smart device proficiency with basic troubleshooting skills
• Personal laptop or desktop computer and printer access

Compensation: $22.45–$44.85/hour
