Job Description
The Mathis House Employee supports guest lodging, events and weddings, food and beverage services, and all property operations. Reporting to the house manager and property owner, this role provides guest-facing service, housekeeping and preparation, event execution, and balanced property support, including regular event coverage and seasonal peak coverage.
Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping duties and prepare guest accommodations and property spaces.
- Assist guests and provide attentive guest-facing service.
- Support general facility upkeep across the property.
- Assist with events and weddings, including regular event coverage and execution support.
- Process payments and handle point-of-sale transactions.
- Support Tea Room and food and beverage operations.
- Serve guests and assist with kitchen duties as needed.
- Provide balanced operational support during seasonal peak periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in hospitality operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with guest services and housekeeping operations.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cash handling.
- Strong customer service and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
