About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Recovery Room provides age-specific care for patients using the nursing process, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure effective treatment and patient safety. This role is ideal for nurses with strong clinical judgment and leadership skills. Highlights Location: Glen Cove, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Per diem (as needed) on varied days and shifts What You'll Do Perform age-specific care for a designated group of patients. Collaborate with physicians and health team members for patient treatment. Conduct patient interviews and assess health status. Develop individualized patient goals and plans of care. Administer prescribed treatments and medications safely. Provide emotional support to patients and their families. Document patient care and treatment accurately. Participate in discharge planning and patient education. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided and document outcomes. Assist physicians during treatments and diagnostic procedures. Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience Prior PACU experience highly preferred. Prior ICU experience highly preferred. Licenses & Certifications Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required. Specialized certifications as needed.
