Senior Purchasing Agent

Position Responsibilities And Requirements Handle all specialty buys including, but not limited to, glass, aluminum and gaskets Solid knowledge of specific materials and suppliers – glazing IGU, glazing coatings, aluminum extrusions, architectural windows, various metal panel finishes including aluminum and stainless steel, brick, terracotta, and ACM Preparation of bid packages Prepare and administer purchase orders Daily interaction with external suppliers for procurement of construction/fabrication goods and services Analyze and evaluate proposals Perform price analysis Develop and maintain strategic relationships Use cost evaluations for development of pre-negotiation strategies Lead negotiations, agreement terms, PO documentation, and invoice reconciliation Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase agreements Negotiate term supply contracts, agreements and RFP’s Working knowledge of standard contract types Ensure continuous flow of materials to support production requirements in the most efficient and cost-effective manner Work closely with senior management, production, engineering and suppliers to establish business building relationships Position Requirements Prior purchasing experience with specialty items (glass aluminum, gaskets) Prior purchasing experience in façade, curtainwall, building enclosure industry (preferred) Detail and teamwork oriented with demonstrated organizational skills Strong negotiation skills Strong relationship building skills Demonstrated problem solving skills Self-motivated, demonstrated sense of urgency, ownership of tasks Ability to work independently and in a team environment Contact Information Job Type: Permanent Sectors: Architecture & Design, Cladding/Facades, Construction Location: New York Salary: Excellent Salary and benefits Contact: Aidan Wood Email: View email address on click.appcast.io Phone: View phone number on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr
