Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing SPE results. Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results. Notify donors of unsuitable test results. Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and arranging transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation requirements in occupational health. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or recognized nursing program with state requirements, or graduate equivalent. Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: EMT-Paramedic or EMT-Intermediate. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Compensation U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour.
