What You'll Do

• Lead utility construction projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost success

• Act as the key point of contact for clients, field teams, and subcontractors

• Develop and manage project plans including budgets, schedules, forecasts, and documentation

• Monitor performance and drive proactive solutions to keep projects on track and profitable

• Oversee change orders, RFIs, and scope adjustments with attention to detail and accuracy

• Prepare estimates, proposals, and material takeoffs to support project and business growth

• Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure efficient, high-quality execution

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience managing construction projects

• Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, and field operations

• Ability to lead multiple projects while staying organized and detail-oriented

• Excellent communication skills with both field and executive stakeholders

• Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate subcontractors

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project)

Preferred Experience

• Utility construction (transmission, substations, or power infrastructure)

• Experience working on high-voltage or energized projects

• Experience in protection & control or grid modernization initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
