Job Description:\n\n \n JOB SUMMARY\n The Director of Connectorized Products is a senior general management role with full P&L ownership of Marki Microwave’s connectorized product business. This business is characterized by low volume, high mix, and a broad customer base spanning direct, distribution, and e-commerce channels. The Director is accountable for growing revenue across all three channels, building the product portfolio, and ensuring Marki’s go-to-market capabilities are matched to the nature of this business.\n The role operates as a peer to the Director of Custom & HiRel Products, the Manager, Performance Products, and the VP, Product, with line management responsibility for a small marketing team focused on collateral, digital requirements, and channel execution. A critical near-term priority is building the sales channel infrastructure required to serve this high-mix, broad-customer business: the existing direct sales team is optimised for larger opportunities, so the Director will collaborate with the VP of Sales to assess, design, and implement a complementary model, whether inside sales, channel partners, or other mechanisms, to ensure smaller and mid-tier customers are well-served across all three channels.\n This role will require access to access information controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 CFR §§ 730-780),and likely the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 CFR §§ 120-130), and so applicants for this position must be one of a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or other Protected Individual (as defined under 8 USC § 1324b(a)(3)).\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n Business ownership & revenue growth\n \n \n \n \n Own the connectorized business P&L: revenue, margin, and growth targets across the direct, distribution, and e-commerce channels; report performance to the CCO.\n Define annual and multi-year revenue plans by channel and market segment; identify and pursue growth opportunities within the existing portfolio and through new product additions.\n Monitor business performance metrics and take corrective action when trends diverge from plan; participate in cross-business leadership reviews.\n \n \n \n Product portfolio & roadmap\n \n \n \n \n Own and maintain the connectorized product roadmap: new product introductions, extensions, and rationalisation of underperforming SKUs; hold final portfolio prioritisation authority for the business.\n Work with the VP, Product (technical feasibility input) and Engineering to align design resources with roadmap priorities; negotiate sequencing and scope within capacity constraints.\n Engage customers and the distribution channel, in coordination with Sales, to identify unmet needs and validate roadmap priorities.\n Represent connectorized requirements at the monthly Technology & Roadmap Alignment meeting (sponsored by CCO, CTO, and VP, Product); escalate to the CCO only where cross-business tradeoffs are required.\n \n \n \n Sales channel development & management\n \n \n \n \n Assess current channel coverage across direct, distribution, and e-commerce; define the target channel model and the role and boundaries of each channel.\n Develop the business case and implementation plan for new channel additions and present to the CCO and VP, Sales for approval.\n Own distribution partner relationships: set expectations, performance targets, and support models, and evaluate partner performance regularly.\n Own the connectorized presence on e-commerce platforms: catalog accuracy, pricing competitiveness, and product discoverability, working with MARCOM to drive traffic and conversion.\n \n \n \n Pricing Strategy & Management\n \n \n \n \n Define and own the pricing framework for the connectorized portfolio: list prices, discount structures, and governance of pricing exceptions.\n Balance revenue growth and gross margin objectives; model the P&L impact of pricing decisions across volume tiers and customer segments.\n Monitor competitive pricing dynamics and adjust strategy in response to market shifts; work with Sales and distribution partners to protect margin discipline.\n \n \n \n Digital presence & marketing collateral\n \n \n \n \n Define requirements for the connectorized presence on the Marki website: product findability, catalog accuracy, technical content quality, and e-commerce functionality; MARCOM implements against these requirements.\n Ensure the portfolio has complete, current collateral: datasheets, application notes, and selection guides; partner with MARCOM on production and distribution.\n Define go-to-market content requirements for new product launches and partner with MARCOM to execute across digital and print channels.\n \n \n \n Customer, Market & Team leadership\n \n \n \n \n Work with Sales, who owns the customer relationship, to maintain engagement with strategic connectorized customers in Defense/EW and Test & Measurement, and to run voice-of-customer sessions.\n Monitor the competitive landscape and feed market and customer intelligence into roadmap decisions; surface adjacent and new-market opportunities to the CCO, who owns market-entry decisions.\n Lead the marketing team: set direction and priorities, develop team members, and make hiring decisions as the business model evolves.\n Coordinate with the Director, Custom & HiRel Products on the Program Manager embedded in this Engineering vertical to ensure the tracking, reporting, and schedule discipline the business requires.\n \n \n \n People Management\n \n \n \n Establish the long-term vision and near-term goals for the organization; evaluate performance against those goals and course correct as needed.\n Lead talent acquisition and organizational design as the team scales. Partner with HR to identify staffing needs, source and interview candidates, and make hiring recommendations that build a qualified, high-performing team.\n Set clear goals and priorities for the team, delegate effectively, and hold direct reports accountable for quality, productivity, and deadlines.\n Conduct regular check-ins and formal reviews. Manage performance and workplace issues promptly and fairly in accordance with company policy.\n Build capability through training and mentoring. Coach and mentor direct reports, identify growth opportunities and training needs, and support career development to build bench strength and retain talent.\n Promote an ethics-based, collaborative culture across the organization.\n \n \n \n REQUIREMENTS\n Required\n \n \n \n \n Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; or equivalent and10+ years of relevant industry experience.\n 5+ years leading or managing teams in a fast-moving, low-volume/high-mix manufacturing environment. \n Experience owning or growing a low-volume, high-mix technical product portfolio with full P&L accountability.\n Track record of building or improving multi-channel sales models (distribution, inside sales, or e-commerce) for a technical product business.\n Experience setting pricing strategy and managing margin in a technical components business.\n RF/microwave component background, with enough domain depth to engage credibly with Defense/EW and Test & Measurement customers.\n Proven ability to lead and develop a small team.\n Comfortable operating in a hands-on, resource-constrained environment that demands both strategy and execution.\n \n \n \n \n Strongly preferred\n \n \n \n \n Direct experience in connectorized RF component portfolio or product-line ownership.\n Experience marketing and selling technical products through distribution and e-commerce channels.\n Experience partnering with MARCOM or marketing teams to improve digital effectiveness for technical products.\n Familiarity with Defense/EW or T&M buying processes, qualification requirements, and technical documentation standards.\n \n \n \n \n TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES\n \n \n \n \n \n Portfolio and roadmap decision-making: ability to prioritise new product introductions, extensions, and SKU rationalisation across a high-mix catalog under Engineering capacity constraints.\n Channel economics and design: ability to match customer segments and opportunity sizes to the right channel and define the operating model and boundaries for direct, distribution, and e-commerce.\n Distribution and e-commerce operations: ability to manage partner performance and to maintain catalog accuracy, pricing competitiveness, discoverability, and conversion on digital platforms.\n Commercial and P&L modelling: ability to model the margin and volume impact of pricing and portfolio decisions and translate them into channel-level revenue and margin plans.\n Technical marketing translation: ability to specify website, datasheet, application-note, and launch-content requirements and direct MARCOM to execute them against commercial goals.\n Cross-functional influence without direct authority: ability to secure Engineering sequencing, Sales channel execution, and MARCOM delivery through the roadmap-alignment and escalation forums.\n \n \n \n \n CORE COMPETENCIES\n \n \n \n Business Acumen: Awareness and knowledge of and insight into the organization’s vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations.
