Key qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field; CMA, CPA, or MBA highly preferred
• Minimum of 3 years as a Controller with supervisory experience
• Proven expertise in manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, and month-end/year-end close
• Familiarity with GAAP and experience working with auditors
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage large data sets efficiently
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities

The primary responsibilities for this Controller position encompass:

• Preparing comprehensive monthly financial statements and detailed analytical reports
• Providing in-depth cost accounting support specifically tailored to manufacturing activities
• Partnering with production teams to ensure accurate capture of costs and analyzing variances
• Acting as the main liaison with external auditors during financial audits and tax filings
• Overseeing compliance with Sales and Use Tax regulations
• Conducting timely and thorough balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation
• Managing treasury functions and capital expenditure processes, including depreciation handling
• Leading system controls improvements and collaborating with IT to automate financial processes
• Supporting management with insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations
• Overseeing the finance team, including the Assistant Controller, Accounts Receivable, and A/P managers
• Facilitating the annual budgeting process across multiple locations and divisions
• Challenging existing policies and proposing enhancements to accounting procedures
• Handling other related duties as needed
