Paraprofessional Position

The School District of Borough of Morrisville is seeking qualified candidates to fill Paraprofessional positions. The assignment(s) and/or the hours of responsibility may change at the discretion of the Administration. Maximum of 37.5 hours/week.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Experience with school-aged children preferred.
• At least one year's experience in similar occupation; experience with students with learning, social or emotional disabilities or Autism spectrum highly recommended.
• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Must show evidence of at least one of the following:
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree,
• At least 48 college/university credits,
• Passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis, or
• Successfully pass local assessment (Credential of Competency from the Pennsylvania Department of Education to fulfill this requirement)
• Must participate in 20 hours of staff development activities related to their assignment each school year.

Clearances and other requirements:

• PA State Police Clearance (Act 33)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprints (Act 114) IndentoGo

Background employment clearances and the following additional paperwork must be completed within the last year to be valid: Arrest/Conviction Report (Act 24), PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), and School Health Record which includes physical (within a year) and TB test (within 3 months).

Salary: Per Agreement between Morrisville Board of School Directors and Morrisville Educational Support Personnel Association.
