HousepersonThe Courtyard by Marriott is looking for a full-time Houseperson. The Houseperson is responsible for performing a combination of tasks that maintain hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience. The schedule is flexible; please apply if interested.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide professional and courteous guest service at all timesClean and maintain all public, storage and administrative areasMove and arrange furnitureDust and polish metal work and furnitureVacuum floorsClean bathroomsRemove trashAdditional DutiesReplenish linens and supplies when neededStock assigned cleaning cart for work shiftDeliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, rollaway beds or any other guest amenitiesAssist the front desk agents in fulfilling any guest requestsClean outside areas and remove debrisFollow standard procedures for acceptance and security of guest lost and found itemsMaintain room quality based on hotel and brand standardsAttend monthly department meetingsComplete projects as determined by managementActively seek out other tasks when current work is completeAssist other coworkers and departments when necessaryParticipate in ongoing education and trainingClean swimming pool area (if applicable)Other duties as assignedEssential Behavior RequirementsCustomer Service: Displays a professional sense of urgency when communicating and interacting with guests, coworkers, and the public in a way that exceeds the guest's wants and needs. Potential exposure to paint, solvents, cleaning chemicals, and/or fumesTemperature Changes: Variations in temperature, which are sufficiently high or low to cause marked bodily discomfort including exterior cold, heat, humid and wet conditions
