Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Resilience Activity, ACOFS, G-2, Army Insider Threat Program, Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities Conducts multi-discipline intelligence research and analysis with specific emphasis on counterintelligence, CI support to Technology and Infrastructure Protection, insider threats, and foreign intelligence entities that pose a risk to DoW equites. Uses intelligence analytical tradecraft to fuse fragmented and raw data to prepare multi-discipline intelligence products. Stays informed of technical capabilities, operations, potential targets, methods of operations, and other developments within assigned areas to conduct counter Insider Threats operations. Resolves potential derogatory information concerning an applicant in relation to Insider Threats, counterintelligence, or international terrorism matters. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Experience analyzing the intelligence community environment, Insider Threat Program, and Counterintelligence community to advise management on operations support, and intelligence production. AND 2) Experience using advanced research and analytical methods to develop multi-discipline intelligence products from incomplete data, while executing Knowledge Management (KM) processes to track thousands of screenings and vetting checks of Intelligence Community databases. AND 3) Experience adhering to regulatory compliance for use of systems, reporting, and disseminating intelligence reporting and record management by filing and handling records per federal laws, and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
