Radiology Technologist - Days

Job Summary Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Manager, the Radiology Technologist produces diagnostic medical radiographs (e.g., OR, fluoroscopy, DXA, EOS) to ensure accurate diagnosis and quality patient care. Job Responsibilities Produce high‑quality images using appropriate exposure techniques, metal markers, and electronic placement. Document patient histories, verify physician orders, and assist with OR/surgery cases using C-arms and portable machines. Supervise and educate radiology students during clinical rotations, providing feedback to the Clinical Educator. Maintain a clean, orderly workspace, adhere to hospital safety and infection‑control policies, and report equipment faults. Attend departmental in‑services, meetings, and review educational materials. Execute additional duties as assigned by supervisors, demonstrating professionalism and initiative. Practice universal precautions, dispose hazardous waste, and participate in risk‑management reporting. Complete required safety and infection‑control training annually. Engage in continuing education, obtaining 24 CE points every two years and maintaining active ASRT standing. Provide service excellence to patients and colleagues, following the Target 100 Standards and HIPAA guidelines. Contribute to quality improvement projects and review departmental QI/QA/QC data during meetings. Utilize the hospital radiology information system to enter, edit, and report exam data accurately and timely. Offer age‑appropriate care to patients across the lifespan, applying knowledge of developmental stages. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program and registry eligible. Minimum of two years of radiology technology experience preferred. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and ARRT‑R Radiography. State licensing or registration as required by Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin. Working Conditions Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other biological hazards is inherent to the position. The role may involve unpredictable situations and varying patient volumes. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds, transfer patients, and handle radiographic equipment and supplies.
